Problems receiving faxes

Sometimes the fax-to-email gateway cannot receive faxes sent from certain numbers/fax machines.

Most of the time this turns out to be due to the "poor transmission levels" of the sending location, caused by a faulty fax machine or phone line.

Telstra provides a fax testing service which helps diagnose these faults. Simply send a fax (1-2 full pages of text/graphics in high resolution is enough) to the Telstra Faxtream Test number 1300 368 999 (or 1300 368 909) and within a short time, you will receive back a fax containing the test results of your fax transmission levels and other relevant information.

If the results qualify within the good/excellent range and you continue to have issues sending faxes from the tested location to our fax to email service, please contact our technical support team to further investigate the problem. If the test results are poor, the sending party needs to seek local technical assistance and fix the issues.
